Headlines"PROGRAM TAKLIMAT & PAMERAN KESELAMATAN JALAN RAYA"Event Date2nd April, 2008, Wednesday In line with the government's call to promote road safety awareness under the Road Safety Plan 2006-2010, GSSB had together with Trafik Polis Daerah Kajang scheduled a series of talks and exhibitions on road safety for schools situated along the Cheras-Kajang Highway. The aim of the program is to educate and inculcate road safety awareness amongst the younger generation, primarily secondary school students. Other sponsors who have come forward to make this program a success included Jabatan Keselamatan Jalan Raya, Majlis Keselamatan Jalan Raya ( MKJR ), Kumpulan Karangkraf Sdn Bhd and Nestle Products Sdn Bhd. For this year, four schools - Sek. Men. Keb. Tinggi Kajang, Sek. Men. Keb. Sultan Abdul Aziz, Sek. Men. Agama Hulu Langat, Bt. 10 Cheras and Sek. Men. Jenis Keb. Yu Hua - had been selected to participate in this program.
On 2nd April 2008, the "Program Taklimat & Pameran Keselamatan Jalan Raya" was officially inaugurated by YDH ASP Zainuddin Hj. Mahadi, Ketua Bahagian Ketenteraman Awam & Ketua Trafik Daerah at Sek. Men. Kebangsaan Tinggi Kajang. A total turnout of 381 students benefitted by gaining insight into various road safety aspects observed and discussed during the briefing session. The students later received goodie bags consisting safety leaflets, health drinks and books from the sponsors.
